Early Park Admission: Universal Orlando

Make the most of your time at the Universal Orlando Parks with Early Park Admission.

Get A Head Start To Your Day with Early Park Admission

Early Park Admission is available to Universal resort hotel guests (and other select groups, like guests who purchase their Universal Orlando theme park tickets through a Travel Agency) can access one theme park – either Universal Studios Florida or Universal’s Islands of Adventure – and a couple of attractions a full hour before the normal scheduled opening daily.

Typically Early Park Admission access is between 8am – 9am, with the rest of the park opening and other guests arriving at 9am.

If the theme parks open earlier, for example, 8am, then the Early Park Admission hour will also move to an earlier time frame; for example 7am-8am.

Visit this official page to discover which park has early park admission during your trip: Universal Orlando Official Early Park Admission Hours

Note: Universal’s Volcano Bay park may also offer Early Park Admission hours for onsite hotel + select other guests.

PRO TIP – Keep your tickets and room key handy, you’ll need to show them for access to the Early Park Admission hour.

CAST A SPELL with an interactive wand!

Ollivanders ™ wand shop is open during Early Park Admission. However, as the early morning hour comes to a close, head to the que at Ollivanders™ to witness a unique interactive experience and see a wand choose a wizard.

The wait time will become longer as the morning progresses. The ‘show’ takes place in the wand room and the lights are fairly dim – there are some light and sound effects, but it’s not “scary”.

QUICK TIP – Most spells are cast at “child level”. For taller wizards, lower your wand and point it straight towards the window panes.

Park Opening

As the early morning hour comes to a close, your family will be able to enjoy other rides in both parks, including traveling on the Hogwarts Express Train into the other park.

Dining

Since your day started pretty early, it may be time to enjoy a well-deserved break. My family enjoys taking a break sometime between 10 and 10:30am at either The Three Broomsticks or The Leaky Caldron.
