A Private Tour of Perfect Day at CoCo Cay

Last week I cruised on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Anthem of the Seas out of Cape Liberty, NJ. We made three port stops in Cape Canaveral, CoCo Cay island, and Nassau, Bahamas.

Sue is the general manager of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines private island Perfect Day at CoCo Cay. She was also the Project Manager during the complete overhaul of the island; therefore, she knows the island inside and out and …

She. Is. Ahh-mazing!

Sue took me around CoCo Cay on a private tour, pointing out her favorite elements of the island’s dual personalities – Thrill and Chill.

On the Thrill side, we chatted about the tallest waterslide in North America and how my clients can make the most of their day passes on each of the 13 different slides in the water park. And let’s not forget the largest wave pool and the adventure pool, where you can test your Ninja-like balancing skills. #whew

When we moved to the Chill side of the island, we meandered through Oasis Lagoon, Harbor Beach, and the Chill Island beach front where I discovered a plethora of ways guest can rest & relax in peaceful cabanas, beach beds, and lounge chairs.

Sue got all heart eyes when she shared how excited she was that CoCo Cay would be opening up a brand new section of the island in the near future (January 2020), aptly named CoCo Beach Club on South Beach.

CoCo Beach Club will feature over-the-water cabanas and an exclusive dining experience sure to elevate the most discerning cruisers’ adventure.

The piece-de-resistance during our tour was Up, Up and Away – where a helium balloon took us 450 feet into the sky, giving us a 360° view of the entire island.

I just could not leave the island until I ferreted out a secret menu item available at the Snack Shack – sure to be a highlight of my #ProTips exclusively shared with my clients who travel to Perfect Day at CoCo Cay.
